In the heart of Overland Park, Kansas, you'll find Design Resources Inc, or better known as DRI. Focused exclusively on the apparel industry, DRI found themselves unable to grow because of their exisiting business systems, namely a homegrown MS Access database and Quickbooks Enterprise.
As a strategic partner of Nike (who uses the large enterprise version of SAP), DRI knew that SAP was a household name, and that they were a company that wasn't going to go anywhere. This notion was complimented by the fact that SAP had a suite of built from the ground-up ERP solutions specifically for small businesses. Having started the implementation of SAP Business One with another partner, they became stuck when they needed additional functionality to manage the apparel matrix side of their business. Navigator, with several apparel customers, had created an integrated solution designed to help businesses better manage apparel colors, sizes, and styles.
